TYPES OF WORK TO BE DONE
• Cut new trails.
• Maintain existing trails. Examples: cut back briars and over growth, cut and remove fallen trees and limbs from trail, help cut diversion ditches for erosion control and seed large denuded areas.
• Build and maintain bridges.
• Construct and maintain creek crossings.
• Put up trail signs and safety barriers.
• Pick up trash.
• Work special events.
• Mark barbed wire sections close to trails.
• Remove old barbed wire and post.
• Assigned trail patrol.
• Sign on new track sponsors.
• Day end “Trail Sweep”.
Additional benefits may be accrued once an annual pass is acquired:
Extended riding times (private riding), extended riding season and camping passes.
NOTE: Volunteers must be 18 years old to operate a chain saw. Work parties must be two or more people. |
